To protect public health and slow the rate of transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is closing its public beach effective Wednesday, March 18th, at 6:00 a.m.
In a meeting held this afternoon with the mayors, city and town managers of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach, these cities have agreed to close their public beaches effective Wednesday, March 18th, at 6:00 a.m.
In accordance with Florida Governor Rick Desantis’ new orders, the Town also mandates bars and nightclubs to close at 5:00 p.m., and restaurants to practice distance separation by not allowing groups larger than 10 people to gather.
