Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Florida (June 20, 2023) – The Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea will hold its free, annual Fourth of July Parade and Family Fun Day on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., complete with a festive parade, family-friendly activities, and a beachfront fireworks display. The Town is proud to announce that Broward County Mayor Lamar Fisher will serve as this year’s parade Grand Marshal.
“Lauderdale-By-The-Sea’s close-knit community is one of the many things I admire about the Town, and what better way to bring everyone together than a Fourth of July celebration?” said Mayor Fisher. “I look forward to celebrating this family-friendly event with the entire community.”
Mayor Fisher serves as the Town’s County representative and is a fourth-generation Broward County resident. He has served on boards for several community-focused organizations and often visits and supports the Town’s events and initiatives.
“We are happy to recognize Mayor Fisher for his many years of service to our community and as someone who is always willing to advocate for Lauderdale-By-The-Sea at the county level” said Vice Mayor Edmund Malkoon, this year’s Fourth of July Chairman.
The parade will travel south on Bougainvilla Drive, east along Pine Avenue, then south on El Mar Drive to Hibiscus Avenue. Following the parade, everyone is invited to head to El Prado Park (4500 El Mar Drive) to enjoy the Family Fun Day festivities sponsored by State Contracting & Engineering Corp.
Schedule of Events:
- 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.- Fourth of July Parade
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.- Family Fun Day in El Prado Park with a giant waterslide, kid-favorite “Bubble Man,” a DJ, demonstrations from the Volunteer Fire Department, and more
- 9 p.m. to 9:20 p.m.- Fireworks display launched off the beach
