Fort Lauderdale
Call me biased, but Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is my favorite beach in South Florida. Sure, this Fort Lauderdale beach was right down the street from our apartment, but that only made me appreciate the finer details of the small seaside town all the more.
The beach is beautiful: white sand, turquoise water, and one of the only beaches in the US with a coral reef accessible from shore. Yes, he read that right, you can literally dive or snorkel from the shoreline in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea to discover one of the most vibrant coral reefs in the Western Atlantic.
